Kiki Havos

Art Therapist (AThR); Artist Advocate

Kiki (she/her) is a Masters qualified and clinically registered Art Therapist dedicated to supporting children, teenagers, and adults through Community Art Therapy methodologies.

Art Therapy, as a non-verbal and evidence-based form of psychotherapy, uses creative methods to support and improve overall wellbeing. Kiki is a passionate advocate for Art Therapy, believing in its ability to be both accessible and empowering for those who have difficulty expressing challenges or in piecing together traumatic stories. By using both brain hemispheres in the creative process, Kiki supports others to gently integrate and organise traumatic material in the brain and body to recover and thrive. Kiki remains guided by client-centred, trauma informed, and feminist frameworks throughout the therapeutic process.

In her practice, Kiki blends Art Therapy techniques with her training and expertise in Narrative Therapy, Synergetic Play Therapy, Eco-Therapy, somatic yoga, attachment theory, child development, the neurobiology of trauma, and social justice theory to provide a holistic and integrative therapeutic experience. Kiki's lived experience of neurodiversity assists her to create neuro-affirming and inclusive spaces that further support healing and growth. Kiki views Community Art Therapy as a means to enhance emotional resilience and build meaningful connections through nature, storytelling, relationships, and the body.

As a practising comic artist, Kiki uses narrative tools to help clients externalise challenges and create empowering stories to change themselves and the world around them. Kiki's mission is to support others to forge meaningful connections within themselves and with others.

Kiki offers face-to-face, online, and nature-based sessions and is available on Saturdays. In her spare time, Kiki enjoys being in nature, water sports, and immersing herself in all things storytelling.
